This project consisted of the demolition and site clearance of the former Stoystown Market Building.
The full 2 story building was approximately 100 feet long by 40 feet deep and was a retail center in the borough for over 100 years.
After years of neglect the building became dilapidated. Stoystown Borough Council acquired the property from the current owners and used CDBG funds to complete the demolition. Many items if significant historic value were removed and salvaged from the building including the intricate millwork throughout the exterior of the building.
